A friend and I were talking and they asked if I knew why their friend wasn’t answering their messages. I hadn’t talked to that person in a long time, but I have had similar experiences. I offered this explanation because this is what I have learned. And sometimes it is a hard pill to swallow.

None of us are the same people we were when we met. A friendship that worked at one time might not fit in with what you have going on now. And as the circumstances in a person’s life change, they change. There are those who you will always be friends with, some will fade away, and others leave. It can be hurtful, but it doesn’t make anyone a villain. And sometimes when you look back, you realize the only thing you had in common is you were part of the same circle in that time of your life.
