Karma got me. But it is pretty amusing. When I was a kid there was a lifeguard at the pool my friends and I liked to irritate. We were always sneaking around, seeing what we could get away with. When we would get caught and he would yell at us, we would laugh at him which made him really mad. There were times we were purposely irritating just to watch him go off. Him and his brother are now doctors and run a very successful practice. As of this morning, I am a patient at their office. He was not in today, but I left a note for him which said:

Dear Dr. Steve, I am sorry I annoyed you when you were a lifeguard. -Killeen M

He might not remember. But if he does, I hope he sees the humor in the situation and laughs. I also hope if he has high blood pressure, it didn’t start when he was a lifeguard.
