When I did Customer Service for a healthcare company I occasionally got calls from members who were upset their doctor’s office had discharged them as a patient. It was usually because they had missed numerous appointments or were verbally abusive to the staff. I remember one particular lady called the doctor a fucking asshole when he wouldn’t prescribe her narcotics. When asked about it, she didn’t think there was anything wrong with what she had said. They always argued the doctor’s office couldn’t release them or the doctor’s office was breaking the law. I would explain to the member if someone came to their house and was disrespectful, they could tell that person to leave. The same principle applied at the doctor’s office. If you go to that practice and are disruptive, they have the right to refuse to work with you.
Folks, if a business of any kind requires you to wear a mask, keep appointments, or follow their rules and standards, and you refuse, they can deny you service. It is their right. And you can go elsewhere.
