The safety of others

This post appeared in the Memories of my social media page. A friendly talk outside my apartment complex could have appeared to the bus driver as a confrontation. My guess is he has seen situations that have gone awry or been a part of someone getting away from an uncomfortable setting. He also could have said to himself, “It’s not my business,” and kept driving. I am thankful he took the time to stop and inquire about my safety.

I was outside my apartment complex at dusk conversing with my neighbor who is a male. A bus was driving by but it slowed down and the doors opened. The driver asked if I was okay. I told him yes everything was fine and we were just talking. Even though I didn’t need help I’m glad someone was looking out for me.
