You can get a lot of things back, but one thing that cannot be returned is time. If you are waiting on someone, ask for clarity of their timeline. The answers, “Soon”, “Not long”, “Eventually”, “I will get to it” or “I’m working on it”, are too general. They could also be just answers. There might be no real plan or progress underway. And you could be waiting for something that isn’t going to happen.
