A friend had a discussion on his social media page about the Wizard in the Wizard of Oz and wanted our thoughts on the character. Here was my response:
Everyone has a “wizard” in their life. Someone who is a storyteller, embellishes, or who pretends to be more interesting than what they are. These people aren’t malicious, they want attention and to be liked. The good thing about when the wizard was exposed, is he admitted who he was. Most storytellers, don’t do that. He also pointed out to everyone they didn’t need magic to find what they were looking for. Even though all four characters were searching for something different, the end goal was to be happy. And we shouldn’t search for happiness in things or other people, we have to find it within ourselves.
