I decided to stop running around during the holiday season several years ago. I figured Jesus wouldn’t want me to be stressed in preparation for his birthday/on his birthday. So if I chose to sit at home and eat spaghetti on a holiday, I can do that and I will give thanks for the day. I can also celebrate Christmas any way I chose, and still appreciate the birth of Christ. I find this to be enjoyable and less hectic. I highly recommend it.
