Beer cans

When I volunteered at the food bank we had a patron whom I will refer to as Michael. Michael would buy a case of Old English beer and drink it outside with his friends. But they would throw the empty cans in the grass next to the building. It didn’t bother me they were drinking, the littering part did. So when I would arrive for work I would say hello to all the guests of the food bank and yell at Michael in front of everyone. He was the source of the chaos. I told him he better not be making a mess and to throw away the cans from the cheap beer he drinks. I got a lot of laughs and several surprised looks. But it worked. He and his friends stopped leaving empty beer cans all over the place. My scolding paid off. I’m gonna make someone a great nagging wife one day. 😊
