I was a victim of Hurricane Ivan in 2004. It was a nightmare I don’t wish on anyone. If you would like to help out people affected by Hurricane Ian here is helpful tip from someone who has been there. If your community sets up a donation site where you can drop off items, please do not give appliances that are dirty or have been in storage a long time. A hurricane victim is limited for time and does not want to clean a toaster oven, microwave or George Forman grill with caked on food residue. And appliances which have been in storage a long time are filled with dust and dead insects. Gross!
