Who will do for me?

A young boy I know told me he wants to be a doctor. He is very smart so I have encouraged his thirst for knowledge. I saw him the other day and asked how school was. He said it was good. I let him know I had high expectations for him because when I’m old I’m going to need a good doctor. He laughed and agreed.

Not every kid is cut out to be doctor. So when we see children have a talent or an interest are you nurturing them or steering them in a different direction? Because when I’m not able to do things for myself I will have to seek help. I will have to hire people to clean my house, fix appliances when they break, drive me to appointments, service my car, and on and on. And those people are the generation who are coming up now.
